CopyMarkdown is a toolkit for making web content AI-ready. We build free, open tools that convert webpages into clean, structured Markdown for LLMs, RAG pipelines, and AI workflows.
What We Build
Chrome Extension: One-click webpage-to-Markdown conversion, running entirely in your browser. No data leaves your machine. Available on the Chrome Web Store.
LLMs.txt WordPress Plugin: Auto-generates /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt files so AI agents can discover and read your WordPress site content. No configuration needed, no external dependencies. Coming soon to WordPress.org.
Guides and Resources: In-depth articles on preparing content for AI. From understanding llms.txt to preparing content for RAG pipelines, we cover the practical side of making the web work with AI.
Why Markdown?
Large language models work best with clean, structured text. Markdown strips away the clutter of HTML while preserving headings, lists, links, and code blocks. Whether you’re feeding content into ChatGPT, building a RAG pipeline, or archiving research, Markdown is the most token-efficient format for the job.
We Use What We Build
This site runs our own LLMs.txt plugin. You can see the output at /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt. Every article and page on copymarkdown.com is available to AI agents in clean Markdown, generated automatically.
Who’s Behind This
CopyMarkdown is built by Rick Warson, a developer and entrepreneur based in Belgium, and the founder of Rosetta. What started as a simple URL-to-Markdown converter has grown into a suite of tools for the AI era.
